Sonics
is comprised of three manufacturing divisions –
Plastics Assembly, Liquid Processing and Metal
Welding.
- Plastics Assembly Sonics provides innovative and reliable plastics welding equipment for the joining of thermoplastic components, textiles, and other synthetic materials. Sonics offers a complete range of assembly equipment, tooling and systems, from hand-held units and bench-model presses to full in-line automated systems.
- Liquid Processing Sonics’ ultrasonic processors are the most reliable and technologically advanced in the industry. Available from laboratory bench models to high volume production units, they offer the widest range of processing capabilities and are backed by the best warranty in the industry (3 years, parts and labor).
- Metal Welding Sonics manufactures a full line of
ultrasonic metal welding systems offering
superior performance, safety, and
cost-effectiveness. Sonics offers metal
welders in 40, 20 and 15 kHz frequencies as
well as custom-built horns and fixtures.
Typical applications include wire splicing,
wire termination, batteries, switches, tube
sealing, and coils.

OUR PRESIDENT
Robert Soloff received his first patent in 1962 (for a sonic spray nozzle) and went on to invent the process of ultrasonic plastics welding one year later. In 1969, he founded Sonics & Materials, Inc. and through the next 4 decades, has continued his pioneering work in the field of ultrasonics, accruing an impressive 12 patents in his own name. He is a former director of the Ultrasonic Industry Association and has authored numerous articles on ultrasonic assembly and chemical processing for industry publications.
OUR MARKETPLACE
Automotive, industrial, medical, chemical, research, food, packaging, toy, appliance, consumer and synthetic textile manufacturers around the world use Sonics’ standard or customized equipment to process the full spectrum of commodity, chemical and engineering polymers.
